High School Drama.

Valic stopped where he was and began to look over the items, gathering new plates and cups, bowls and platters due to his mother's childish tantrum - which caused all the dishes to break... He set them down in the basket and shivered, even the items in his hands rattled faintly. Pushing the cart he started towards the hair and body washes.

Joshua quietly walked to where the hair products were. He took great prode in his hair and he was running low on his hair softening spray. He hummed softly and began to look through the aisles, and picked up the small bottle. "Got it." He mumbled out sofgly.

Valic grabbed Axe body wash in Green and Blue - then grabbed five different hair products, one being for women and the other's were for himself. He set it in the basket and grabbed shaving razors, deodorant, colongue, perfume, and ear swabs. He pursed his lips and looked in the container before he pulled out a list of items to see what he needed to get for food.

Joshua kept walking, head down, and accidentally bumped into Valic. He quickly mumbled an apology and stepped past him, looking for more hair products. He sighed softly and picked up a bottle of shampoo and one for conditioner. He seemed…troubled.

Valic looked down at the other as he was bumped into, the other looked like he was confused or struggling with something but... He wouldn't help - his help and advice was always neglected. He looked away and pushed his cart towards the women's ware for his mother.

Joshua gazed at the razors for a moment or two before turning away, refusing to do anything. He was originally going to buy some fem wear for himself but with a classmate around…no chance of that happening. The teen was ashamed of what he wore.

Valic got stares as he shifted through the bra sizes and picked out laced items - from the way he was dressed as well the people thought he was shopping for himself. But no - he was shopping for his hooker mother that was on drugs and neglecting him. He pursed his lips and placed in all the items that she would wear on a night out, strolling to the men's isle to buy for himself.

Joshua exhaled softly as Valic left and skittered into the female aisle. He began to paw through the small dress kind of things that women oftentimes wore. He picked out a white one and smiled faintly down at it. "I like this one..." He mumbled softly to himself and folded it up, placing it into the basket. He watched Valic walk off with the clothing and tilted his head to the side slightly. Of course he wasn't going to ask--he had his own bra thrown in with the dress. He just turned to go and approach the check out.

Valic gathere boxers, jeans, and sweaters before he grabbed tampons and his mother's birth control. He went to the check out line and stood in wait at the very end of the long wait. He pursed his lips and leaned on the cart while waiting, the clothing wouldn't fit him - that was obvious since it would rip in attempt to being placed on - it was clearly for someone else.

Joshua's pick, however, fit his slim body perfectly. He just kind of hid it under his hair stuff and inched forward in the line. He glanced backwards at Valic and blinked at the sight of the other. He just hid the stuff behind his body so the other wouldn't see it and began to ignore Valic. Hopefully he wouldn't take notice...

Valic took notice alright - but he didn't do anything nor did he say anything... He just shifted his weight and moved up as the line slowly grew shorter and shorter. The male grabbed a small amount of candy and placed it in the already stuffed cart, pulling out a wad of cash his mom made the other night and getting ready to pay if needed.

Joshua was a spot ahead of Valiv. He sighed and pulled out money, buying all the stuff for himself and legal guardian. "Yes…thank you." He mumbled out softly and began to slink away quietly, head lowered as if in shame of something. Yeah, he didn't have pride for sure.

Valic shamelessly paid for all the items - even if he got an odd stare, the lady lifted the bras and gave a grin. "ooo~ Who are these for? Your girlfriend?" She asked in a teasing tone - though knew why since Valic came by often for new bras and panties for his mother - and she had been told the reason as well. He handed her the money and took all the bagged items, shivering terribly as a weak gust of wind brushed over any exposed skin.

Joshua quietly walked home but glanced back at Valic. He dropped his scarf on purpose, to cover some of the skin around his neck. It had small angel wings in the pattern, and it was Joshua's favorite one, but he liked helping people. He never said it up front but he liked seeing people smile, making them happy. That's why when someone demanded something of him, no matter how horrible, he said yes. To make them happy.

Valic bent over and grabbed the scarf, neatly rolling it up before going over to Joshua and taking his shoulder lightly with the flat of his fist which was coiled around the cloth. "You dropped something." He said in a mumbled, shuddering voice as he held the object out to him. Valic still had that calm and cool complexion - even in this crazy shivering stage.

Joshua jumped as he was touched and spun around, dropping the bag in his hand. He looked ready to run, still scared of the other. After all, he was a close friend of the one he feared, Scarlet. "N-no, you can keep it." He whispered out softly and dashed away, snatching up the bag. There was a small price tag on the inside of the scarf--the thing costed three hundred fifty nine dollars and ninety nine cents.

Valic looked at the price and gave off a sigh as the other ran away from him, turning and walking to the truck - it was an old black Ford pick up. He went over and placed the items in the back seat and got in the massive black trap and started towards home, he'd just give this back when he had the chance to see him in school again.

Joshua gazed both ways across the street and hesitantly stepped on. He bit his lip and suddenly paused in the middle of the road, like a deer. Then suddenly he dropped everything he was holding as a car came over the hill. Joshua had been unable to see the car and the driver couldn't have seen Joshua from the position of the hill. He saw no point in running--in that half second moment of terror he coiled a wing around his body--and then the car smashed against his tiny body.

Valic turned from the parking lot and started towards home when he heard a sudden crashing sound and instantly swerved his car around and drove in the direction he heard the sound coming from - it was close by that was for sure. He sped a little to get there, already seeing people look out the windows.

Joshua flew a few feet away after he was smashed into, and hit the ground, hard. He was out instantly, but there was a small cut on his forehead. A possible concussion…the driver instantly pulled over and dashed to Joshua's side, calling 911. It was just an adult no one really knew. The person didn't try to move Joshua, that was the one thing you never did to a person after a major injury. Joshua's eyes were shut as he just lay there, seeming so frail and fragile…

"Are you freakin' kidding me?" He muttered at the sight of Joshua and stopped the car, grabbing the unharmed bag of items and going over to Joshua's side - stuffing the scarf in his back pocket as he made his way over and gently pressed his shaking fingers to the other's neck for a pulse. "What happened?!" He demanded in a cold voice - feeling an over protective sensation.

"He just--stopped in the middle of the road!" The man was trying to explain, talking to both Valic and the person on the other end. Joshua, even in his seriously injured form, winced as he was touched, but couldn't move. There was a faint pulse, beating every once in a while, but not enough to be considered in good shape. He also possibly had a few broken ribs, and a few other problems. His breathing was slow and shallow.

Valic growled softly, "I can get him faster to the hospital than you can make the damn call!" He snapped, throwing the items in the back of his truck before going to scoop up the body - careful for any pains the other may have.

Joshua's body was limp as Valic carried him. Not many people got the chance to do so, but he was incredibly light. He winced as he was moved but didn't do anything more. There was a faint, twisted look on his face. A soft, quiet sigh/whimper escaped Joshua's lips.

Valic went into his car, keeping the other in his grasp as he started the car up once again, speeding his way towards a near by hospital that they could get help from. As soon as they were parked, Valic rushed him into the building and signed him in for immediate help.

A nurse came out with a wheeling bed and moved Joshua onto it. She began to lead him into one of the emergency treatment rooms and exhaled softly. Another came out and began to question Val. "What happened?"

"He got hit by a car." Valic responded simply as he sat still in the waiting room, "I'm going into the room as soon as you place him in a resting bed." There was no option there - it wasn't even a demand. It would happen whether there was a yes or no.

The nurse frowned slightly and looked down at the paper. "What is your relation to Yoshiya?" She asked, thinking maybe he was this Sanae Hanekoma person. He looked pretty old...unless he was old looking for his age. "And do you now anything about him that could help us treat him better?"

Valic looked up at the lady and frowned softly, "I'm his classmate and I need to give him something. Well... he doesn't like being touched and he's kinda shy. Look lady, I just know he's in a few of my classes and that he's got a bad temper, alright? I'm not someone who knows every little detail about him - I have his groceries and I have something he wants back so just hurry up."

The nurse gave a faint nod and stepped back into the room. An hour or so passed before Joshua was moved to a resting room. A different nurse stepped out now, and looked at Valic. "He's not awake yet, but you can leave his stuff by the bed. Try not to take too long in there, doctors are finishing up a few things once all the guests leave."

"Well I'm staying until he wakes up because I need to tell him something so just do what you need and bring me in once all the doctors are done." Valic waved her away, having his patience being tested by these annoying nurses.

"That may be a while..." The nurse could tell Valic was getting really pissed off and quickly went back into the long hallways to tell the doctors to go ahead and start working. Yet another hour and a half passed before one of the doctors stepped out now. "You can stay with him until visitor hours close, in two hours. Family stays for an extra."

Joshua was sleeping on the bed, or maybe in a coma...no one told Valic. He looked calm and peaceful, if you could ignore the machines whirring quietly around him. There was an IV tube running from the middle of his upper arm to his shoulder, and a few other medical devices.

Valic stood and gave off a pained sigh, he was so stiff from sitting in that seat and not moving a single muscle the entire time in wait. Though now he was moving and he started down the corridor and took a few turns here and there until he made it to the bedroom. He sat down and took out the scarf with a shiver, setting it neatly on the bed and looking for something to write with since the other was asleep.

Once he found it he began to write down a note in cursive for the smaller male to read. Here's your scarf, and I have your purchased items from earlier. I'll bring them back as soon as I can since you're sleeping right now.

Joshua seemed to stir as Valic walked into the room, and it may have been a trick of the light, but a feather of an angel seemed to drop from his side and fall on the floor. Then it vanished, the moment it hit. It was followed by two drops of blood, which was golden--then that vanished too. Again, the lighting in the room was dim...it could also be that Valic was tired.

Joshua slowly woke up, it was like Valic's presence had woken him. He gazed blankly at the other for a moment before lifting his head and gazing around the room. His senses suddenly kicked into overdrive and he shot up, tearing the IV tube out of his arm--creating a long, deep bleeding cut from where the tube had laid. "Where the hell am I?!"

Valic jumped and forced the other back to laying on the bed - but backed off when he realized he was touching the other. "You were hit by a car, the sensible thing to do was to bring you to a hospital and have you medically treated." He said in a calm voice, pulling up the blanket and tucking him in tightly so he would just lay there and clam down. "No one is going to hurt you nor touch you, I promise Joshua - you're just in here to recover."

Joshua glanced at his arm, which was now bleeding heavily. The tube had been placed pretty deep, and he just tore it out. That took a great amount of strength...but he struggled to sit back up again. "I don't want to be here. I'm better, I'm awake, can I go now? I hate hospitals, I don't want to be here..." He looked at Valic pitifully, as if the other would just grab him and walk out. Of course he put aside the fact that the other would have to touch him...that had to happen if he wanted to get out of here. "You have a car...you could just take me to where I live and then I'll be fine." He avoided calling the place 'home'.

Valic frowned a bit and shook his head, "Sorry, but I'm not a friend nor family member, nor am I of importance. I can't help you get out." He stood up and brushed his pants a bit before looking the other over, "I'll just call your hero Neku and he'll come and get you out of this place, i'm sure he can drive and escort you out due to the higher importance he has." He didn't have a barking tone, it was just that same..calm and cool monotone that his voice was always in.

Joshua gazed down at his hands and didn't speak. He didn't really like the way Valic was speaking to him…but it was just his nature. A doctor walked in and blinked at the sight of Joshua's heavily bleeding arm. "Oh dear, what have you done?" She mumbled, seeing the IV tube hanging uselessly. Joshua frowned slightly and reached a hand to his pocket. "…Where's my cell phone?"

"They took it out when putting you through a scan - they'll give it back if you ask kindly." Valic brushed back some black hair from his face and started towards the door to get two things, Joshua's store items and to go find Neku and bring him by.

Joshua blinked at a nurse but she shook her head no. "You don't need your phone, we've already contacted Sanae Hanekoma, okay?" He seemed somewhat scared without it and gazed down at his hands. Neku was actually just walking quietly down the street, he hadn't heard about Joshua yet.

Valic left the hospital and saw Neku and rushed to his parked car, snatching the bag before jogging over and across the street to the other, holding the bag out to the younger male, "Here. Your boyfriend is in the hospital in room E34."

"In the hospital?" Neku exclaimed, taking the bag. He glanced down at it before realizing they were Joshua's. "Is he dead, or…" He didn't really wait for an answer and raced into the hospital, demanding to see Joshua.

Valic started after the other slowly since he needed to get to his car, thinking to himself. And Neku is seen as the hero and yet he had no clue you were hit by a car. And yet I was the one who brought you in....

Valic made his way to the hospital during lunch break, having found out the other's classes and gathered up his homework for the next two weeks so he could recover and do his work. In all truth it wasn't much, it was mostly just notes and a thin stack of homework. he had separated it into two packs, homework and notes. He was in his Lacrosse uniform when going into the building, signing in as a guest and going up to the hospital room Joshua was in, knocking on the door lightly.

Joshua glanced up as the door was knocked on and looked before mumbling," Come in..." He and Valic had had a few conversations but never really hung out that much. Mostly because he was in a hospital all the time. His soft ashy eyes expected to see Valic, and smiled faintly as the other walked.

Valic stepped into the hospital room, he had asked Joshua's teachers for notes and had copied a few down for the other in the class they shared so that he didn't have to read that annoying Times New Roman font day after day. "I brought your work and notes for you and I picked up something else." He mumbled, setting the paper to the side on the nightstand and handing him a bag - it was just filled with little snacks that the hospital didn't have. Like chips, Twizzlers, Pretzels, a few other candy brands, and a Muffin.

"Thanks." Joshua mumbled out, ignoring the homework and notes. Honestly he never gave anything back to Valic to take to the teachers, because he didn't do anything about it. There were still papers from yesterday and a week or so ago, just carelessly thrown aside. He picked up the bag and began to poke through it, frowning slightly.

"You never tell me what you like so I just buy what I feel a lot of people like." Valic took a seat to the side and sighed a little, brushing back his hair - tired and hot from training. He had to skip half his lunch period for the Coach and then he skipped the last half of it to visit Joshua.

Joshua wasn't really feeling hungry, the nurses had force fed him some of the disgusting slop they called lunch. He set it to the side with all the other bags of stuff Valic had gotten him. "You don't need to keep buying stuff, you know." He said, hoping that Valic wasn't spending all his money on buying these things for him. A lot of times he didn't eat all of it simply because there was so much.
