High School Drama.

"But I don't want to…I…" Joshua's voice trailed off. He was about to say the three words, I love you, but looked up as the lights suddenly flashed off. Some football dickwad just trying to get Joshua back.

Valic sighed and stepped over to him, gently touching his shoulder so that he knew that it was okay. "I can understand..." He murmured with a small frown, not sure what the other was about to say.

Joshua jumped at the sudden contact in the dark room but relaxed--it just startled him. He completely trusted Valic, no matter what situation. "But…"

Valic frowned faintly, feeling a little disappointed at the fact that he wasn't able to make Mr. H like him - but that was alright. He was just a little hurt that if it would be the problem to choose between Mr. H or Valic. And if he wanted to choose Mr. H then that was alright, he'd just be a little hurt.

Joshua hated choosing--but honestly, if it came down to it, he would run away with Valic somewhere. Even though Mr. H would be able to find him no matter what, he would always find a new way to run.

Valic kissed the top of his head, even if it was still dark, but the kiss was there and gone - it was barely even a peck. Just the ghost of his lips, he wasn't sure what to do or say anymore. He just stood there in silence, unaware the other wanted to say 'i love you' or the fact that he would choose Val.

The running away plan seemed good, until Joshua realized Mr. H would always find him. He sighed and ghosted a kiss over Valic's lips in the dark room, then stepped away. The running away wouldn't work. But there was 1 place Mr. H could never find him…"Goodbye Valic…"

Valic frowned a little and just waved in the darkness, "Goodbye Joshua..." He murmured, his voice sounded empty and like feelings were being masked away so he wouldn't seem hurt or weak.

{Damn... I'm crying...}

Joshua turned away and opened the door to the bathroom, flooding the room with light. For a half second it seemed he had angel wings spread out behind him…but again, as he stepped out, maybe not.

Valic looked down at the ground and pushed his hands in his pockets with a small glower, walking out of the bathroom a few moments after when he heard the minute bell ring.

Joshua had no intention of going to class. He felt so sick and awful…he staggered to a trash can and vomited into it. Instantly a teacher took notice but Joshua waved her off, staggering to the exit of the school.

Valic walked to the classroom but he stayed rather distracted and just scribbled on paper with a small frown, he was so hurt but he should have known that the relationship wouldn't last forever.

Joshua left the building and began to walk, tugging on his blue dress shirt's front. He never got to say the words…and now he never would. He pulled out his phone and deleted Valic's contact, but he knew the number by heart. He got a taxi and muttered for the airport, he was running away.

Valic stayed in class but eventually just put his head down on his arm and stared at his phone - which only had maybe one or two pictures of Joshua in it. He frowned and began to delete things with a small frown, he just hoped that the other would keep the piano. After all, it used to be his baby sisters. Her initials were on the very bottom SAF.

Joshua got out of the cab and became invisible, so he could get on a plane to Germany. His fist clenched tightly and he quickly ran through the gates and onto the plane, sliding in just as the door began to shut. He sat down in an empty seat in the back, waiting for the plane to take off.

Valic frowned softly and gently drummed his fingers over the old case on the phone, looking it over before he took a deep breath, he never liked someone this much so it just... He couldn't handle the unfamiliar emotions. He lost his home, his family, his sister, and then Joshua.

Joshua hated everything on that whole plane ride. He started off hating Mr. H, then Valic for making him love him in the first place, then Mr. H again, then his sister for dying so young, then his family, then his dad, and then his mom…it went over and over in his head like a washing machine.

Val knew Joshua's number by heart as well, he was tempted to text him something simple but.. He just couldn't do it. Sure it was already typed out for the other but he hit cancel each time he wanted to hit accept. Each text read the same thing.

'I love you'

But each time it was deleted.

Joshua felt the plane start to touch down in the country. He quickly dashed off before it got too crowded and turned visible again--calling a taxi and giving him an address. It was the place where he grew up, and where he was going to die, soon.

Valic got called and accidentally hit 'send' to the other, sliding the phone in his pocket and speaking the answer to the teacher - he felt sick was his answer to her. She nodded and let him rest his head again, might as well take advantage of it now before he was attacked and forced to work with lacrosse. But after that he had work at the restaurant as well so he couldn't sob about it all day.

Joshua felt his phone buzz and glanced down at the text. He looked up as they reached the house and paid the driver, going inside. No one was home, as usual. He grabbed a knife from the kitchen, viciously carving into his arm. The blade went deep, making blood well up and he took out his phone, taking a picture of it--the cuts had spelled I love you too. He sent it to Valic, hoping he would get it. He needed to…know Joshua loved him too.

Valic's phone was on silent, he would't be able to check his phone until after work hours. He sighed a little and heard the bell ring, making his way out to the gym to do his casual training before it was time to head to work where he was supposed to wait on tables and seem oh so kind and joyful.

Joshua stuck his phone in his pocket and got a piece of paper, writing quietly on it for a few minutes. He made sure every word counted--it would leave a blow on his stupid parents for sure. He was just aiming for them in this suicide, but he wanted to get away. After writing he walked to the wall, grabbing a small handgun off the wall. He made sure the paper would be by his motionless body after he shot himself.

Valic got in his car and drove to his home with a soft yet heavy sigh, it was a silent drive half way across town, he needed his clothing before he went to work. Once home he dressed and set his phone on the dresser, he grabbed his little Lamb toy and pushed it in his back pocket before he walked out to wait at the bus stop, there weren't enough parking spaces for his car.

Joshua's finger trembled and he held it up to his forehead. The gun felt so cold…but it held so many possibilities. Maybe he could start over? That would be nice. His life was like a string on a balloon, holding him down and not letting him fly. With one swift motion the trigger pressed down and a blast echoed through the house. The small teen dropped dead to the floor, bleeding heavily from the wound.

The now dead teen still had a promise he had to fulfill.

Valic stood by the bus stop and waited until it pulled up, stepping in to head off to work, giving a soft sigh as he was taken slowly to his place of employment.

Joshua lifted his head. He was back in the café. He felt no different, but reached up a hand and felt sticky blood on the side of his head. He began to quietly walk to the train station, he had a promise to fulfill to Valic. He would let the other see that he had died--his mother had literally been opening the door when Joshua fired. It had to be all over the news, and there was a TV where Valic waited tables. Then…he'd erase all memory of himself from Valic's brain and they would…start over. After killing him on his way home. But he'd need some help in case people tried to stop him.

Valic had seen the news, people murmured about how sad that was and continued eating. But Valic just couldn't handle that... He had to sit down and the lady he was waiting on asked if he was okay. "No ma'am... I loved the boy and I feared this would happen..." He muttered softly, only to get a pat on the head. About thirty minutes into him waiting tables after seeing the news he was told to go home and get some rest.

Joshua was waiting on the bus with several other angels. He nodded slightly as he saw Valic coming, and then get on. His hand drifted to his pocket where his gun was. But first--a mere finger snap and all memory of Joshua was gone.

Valic's mood slowly rose a little, he stood next to an old lady and smiled at her, giving her a gentle wave, he had allowed her to sit before him, he wouldn't mind standing. She was old and probably in pain. Standing on the bus while holding onto the railing with a soft sigh.

Joshua smiled sadly as he saw Valic smile. He waited until there was a dark tunnel, then everything went dark. There was the sound of knives being drawn suddenly, and Joshua shot up, his eyes allowed him to see in the dark--and in a flash of light Joshua shot Valic, sealing their promise.

Valic's head fell like a rag doll and so did the body, bleeding and covered in wounds - old scars became unshadowed under his clothing. The old woman screamed as the light showed in the train but no one touched him. No one tried to help him. No one checked for a pulse or called nine one one... They just screamed and scooted away from the body.

Joshua shut his eyes, vanishing from sight. He gazed over at a staircase going down. He was at the gates of Heaven, ready to escort a new angel to Heaven. Now he just had to wait for Valic, they would assign him as a Guardian as the test and thus...everything would begin.

Valic opened his eyes and saw the stairs and began to walk up the large golden case with such a brilliant and beautiful light before him, he was like a new baby to the world, he couldn't remember Joshua... He couldn't remember Neku... Or Mr. H...

Joshua was waiting at the gates. He grinned widely. He would have hugged the other but he couldn't since he didn't know him. "Come with me, we'll lead you to the Judgement room." He had a pair of angel wings spread out behind him, and he began to walk to a room made of all the promised jewels in the Bible.

Valic nodded his head, but he paused and looked down as the golden stairs faded from the dead body on the floor. He sighed softly before he walked up behind the other to follow, lips pursed softly as he made his way after him, he wasn't bleeding - everything was just scars.

Joshua escorted Valic in and shut the door. He could hear God, whom he still hated with a burning passion, telling Valic that he had already done so much that he would be a Guardian angel--and his first task would be to guard Yoshiya Joshua Kiryu. When his name was said he dropped down, through the clouds--just barely escaping smashing on the ground by spreading out his wings. And now...being a Fallen would begin.

Valic nodded his head to the big man behind the desk and felt the speckled wings flourish from his back just against his shoulder blades. He looked the massive wings over before he was set out.
