The Cat and The Dog.

Valic figured he meant inside and started to the dog door, the collar and door processed information and unlocked in, he stepped in and set Joshua down, shaking off a massive amount of snow that fell on his back.

Joshua growled and raced back outside, jumping into the wooden doghouse. He curled up on the blanket and yawned, staying calm so his scent didn't get all over everything and make the house stink like him. He gazed at Valic.

Valic walked back out in the snow towards the cat and got in the dog house, curling up in the dog bed around the cat and giving off a heavy yet relaxed yawn, head resting on his paws with the tail under his head as well.

Joshua stayed calm so his scent wouldn't drift, and he gazed over at the small cat with an amused look on his face. Suddenly from the trees dropped a tuxedo cat--but it wasn't the dangerous one. Rather, he was dropping in to just see Joshua. The fluffy cat stepped up and sniffed him, and purred, rubbing against his side. "Hey there butthole." He purred and the tuxedo cat (KOFFMR.HFJAEJH) licked his ears as greeting. "Hello trouble."

Valic was confused but saw no danger and rested his head again, allowing himself to be both a bed and blanket for the silky white cat, but he kept his eyes well on that other random cat. After all the drop ins from every other freakin cat in the neighborhood and past that, it was stressful seeing more than just one in his dog house.

Joshua gazed back at Valic and padded over, licking the big dog's forehead. "Hey dummy, this is butthole. Get acquainted, I'm gonna roll in the snow." The small cat raced away, rolling in the snow and kicking up the white flakes like a mad cat. The tuxedo rolled his eyes, tail flicking calmly. He stayed a respectful distance from Valic's doghouse, waiting for him to come out and sniff him, to determine if he had to stay or go.

Valic got up with a slight struggle and made his way out of the dog house to meet this new black and white tuxedo cat now resting in his yard. Ears perked and tail high as he circled and sniffed the new found creature, once he seemed okay with the cat he walked back in the dog house and laid down. Though his head peeked out to watch the cats.

The tuxedo cat shut his eyes, seeming deep in thought. He seemed wiser than his age should be. Joshua raced over and pounced on him. "Hey, Sanae! Fight me!" He pulled the cat over and pummeled his belly with his back legs.

Valic watched the two cats with half lidded eyes with a content sigh, fresh snow began to fall over the land around them, that's when he ducked his head back under the roof of his dog house.

Joshua eventually grew tired of his prey and padded into the doghouse with heavy paws. He plopped beside Valic and snuggled by the big dog, out like a light. Sanae sat a few feet away from the house. "So, are you two…"

Valic looked over at the other cat, his tail covered Joshua to blanket him in warmth and fluff. "Are we what?" He asked in a low voice to allow the rare kitten to sleep and rest.

"Are you two together?" Unlike most animals Mr. H was okay with dogs and cats being together. "He doesn't take a liking to many, I should know that." He looked at the sleepy kitty, who buried himself in Valic's stomach.

Valic shook his head softly, "No, we're just... A cat and a dog that live in the same house hold as... friends. He doesn't like me that way, he thinks it's wrong. If I were a cat he would probably like me, but I'm not changing for anyone." He murmured with a soft growl.

Mr. H gave a faint nod. "Well I think he might…he's never really had a love life before. All the cats who 'love' him are just attracted by his scent. They don't look past it and see the cat inside that you do."

Valic shook his head softly, "Well... In the end he wouldn't want me. He doesn't want to be with a dog." He murmured and licked the cat's fur, getting massive frozen chunks of snow out of his fur so he didn't get sick when it melted.

Joshua lifted his head sleepily at the lulling warm licks and lightly licked his nose, a kitty kiss. He lowered his head and dozed softly, back to sleep. "Really now?" Mr. H purred.

Valic looked back at the other, "He doesn't let me touch him aside from when he's tired or wants to play. Other wise, he rejects me fully - he's half awake, that's why he licked me." Valic muttered and looked at the other cat with a soft sigh, "Really - nothing is between us. And more than likely, nothing will ever happen."

Mr. H lapped at his chest. "Maybe so. That's your own thinking--tell Trouble here that it hurts you when he pushes you away. Don't keep it silent and to yourself."

"He won't listen to me, we barely even talk in general and he has reasons to push me away too." He murmured, it was obvious Joshua's heat was too strong and it even had the dog trying hard for him. "Besides - I try marking him and he rolls in litter..." That actually kinda hurt, really - having one you attempt to like rub your scent off like you're nothing. Like you're unworthy.

Mr. H gazed at Joshua. "Take the top of that litterbox. He can't hide in it if it's exposed." The fluffy cat snuggled beside Valic, eyes half lidded.

Valic thought about it and nodded before he looked down at Joshua for a moment, nudging him softly to get him in a better position so that the larger animal's leg wouldn't go numb.

Joshua refused to move, and snuggled even closer, smushing his nose on Valic's stomach. He inhaled the dog's scen he usually complained about so much. "Try to let him come out more too."

Valic nodded his head once again to the comments on how to get Joshua to like him a little more, he moved a bit to avoid the cold wet nose, but got over it and let it happen - just as a dog it was awkward.

Joshua coiled his tail around the big dog's leg, purring loudly. He slowly arose, eyes sleepy as he gazed at Valic. "'m tired…"

Valic looked at him and gave a yawn himself, "Well we could go back inside or you can continue sleeping here." He murmured lowly to the cat nuzzled up between his stomach and back leg.

Joshua nuzzled his face back into the dog's belly. "I don't care." He murmured and glanced up. Mr. H was gone, somehow he had snuck away.

Valic nodded his head and licked the fluffy white fur before resting his head down to somewhat blanket the other as well as his tail. "Alright, we'll stay out here a little longer."

Joshua lightly licked Valic's nose, purring softly. His eyes were awake but he curled up and buried his face in fur, sides rising and falling gently.

Valic licked behind a cat ear - as if he had an irritating scratch he couldn't ease. The big dog moved around in the big dog bed to feel a little more comfortable before he continued to lick the white fur.

Joshua yawned and shut an eye, gazing out at the falling snow. Someday he was gonna fall asleep out there and Val wouldn't be able to find him. It would be hilarious.

Valic soon rested his head on top of Joshua's small back and he gave off a calm sigh, even if he was in heat - they were still pretty calm for once. He gently bit his scruff, lifting Joshua up to go inside.

Joshua went limp, letting Valic carry his snall limp body insid of the house. He was so tired he couldn't think straight.

Valic walked inside through the dog door and went into Jane's room, jumping on the big bed and setting the cat back down where he was before when he napped outside. Valic licked his head lightly and rested his own between his paws.

Joshua and Valic had slept in Jane's bed the entire night, she never came home due to a really late over night shift - but had the puppy with her at this point in time. Valic yawned loudly and stretched on the bed, some point in time he shifted half human and was curled around Joshua.

Joshua was half Neko too, so they were kind of spooning. But to a person it would just look like a small kitty curled beside a big dog. His fluffy sides rose and fell calmly.

Valic sighed softly and rubbed the cat's head gently, scratching behind a perked ear with a content look on his face, it was kind of cold in the house, so he lifted the sleeping Neko and rested him under the covers, moving under the covers behind him to continue the gentle holding.

Joshua stirred quietly, he had a headache so he didn't want to move. He groaned softly and pawed at his head, trying to get the ache out of his head. "Uhnn…"

Valic gently hugged him and licked his hair gently, as if that would help any - of course it wouldn't but he could try. He wasn't sure why the other was in pain but he could sense it was causing him great discomfort. Maybe.. He didn't want to be touched. Valic let go of him and slowly scooted away on the bed.

The lack of warmth let cold seep into where Valic had been and he shifted cat. The moment released, he got up on shaky legs and jumped down--but misjudged and smashed his face against the ground. He groaned and got up, limping to the litterbox to relieve himself and try to sleep.

Valic figured he was right, his touching on the other caused him a headache. He gave off a sigh and curled into himself with his face buried in his hands under the blanket, might as well just leave him alone for the rest of the day.

Joshua shuddered in the cold of the litterbox. The heat hadn't kicked on yet, and he just curled up. He was coming down with a small cold--despite Val's kind gesture of licking the snow out he was still ill.

Valic sighed and just bundled up into himself and stayed that way until his stomach growled, then he got out of Jane's bed and walked into the kitchen to get something to eat - and to feed the cat as well.

Joshua gazed at the dark wall, facing the back of the enclosed litterbox. His nose was turning pink around the edges, and he gave a violent sneeze, getting grains of litter in his eyes ad whimpering out softly,

Valic grabbed some of his food and began to eat while he opened a can of tuna for the cat, tapping it onto a dish before he went to the couch, kicking his feet up and chewing the dog food in the bag that was eaten like popcorn.

Joshua didn't feel like eating. He just wanted to sleep. The small cat crawled out of the litterbox, stepping over to the glass door and gazed out at the snow. He sneezed again, eyes shut tightly.

Valic looked over at Joshua and sighed a little, tossing a handful of dog food into his mouth and chewing before he set the bag to the side, walking over to the white cat sitting on the floor. "You won't get warm sitting over by a cold window."

"I don't know where else to sit. You don't like me and the vents aren't on." Joshua flicked his tail, leaning on the cold glass with a shudder. He shut his eyes, wanting to just sleep right there.
