The Cat and The Dog.

Valic sighed and grabbed Joshua, scooping him up in his arms and walking into Jane's room where a small heating blanket that plugged in was lying down. He set the cat down on the blanket, "Sorry it smells like me - I'll get a Febreeze spray to cancel it out."

Joshua bundled up with the warm blanket. "Don't--that stuff smells worse than you." He muttered. "And it leaves a butter taste in your mouth…" He growled softly and pawed at his head.

Valic shrugged a little and turned the blanket on to full heat to give him a nice warm sensation. "Alright..." He murmured softly, not sure if he should like that comment or no - so he just started to head out of the room.

When Valic was gone Joshua inhaled the scent of the dog in the blanket--really it was comforting. He sighed and shut his eyes, hoping to sleep this aching headache off. This fake heat wasn't as good as cuddling with a dog…

Valic went and grabbed the tuna bowl and made his way back in, setting it down and getting a bowl of water as well to let the cat just rest where he could. He placed them close enough to get too but far enough so he wouldn't sleep in it.

Joshua lifted his head and gazed at Valic for a few seconds. He quickly turned his face away and sneezed, trying to not be rude. He tried to wipe at his nose, just sighing and shutting his heavy eyes.

Valic reached down and gently pet his head, "Get better, okay cat? I need something to chase again." He murmured, but gave the blonde a soft smile to show he was just teasing - besides, his tail was wagging.

Joshua gazed up at Valic and licked his hand--to get germs on it. "Go chase one of my suitors or something." He flipped over, showing his belly. "Or give me a warm bath…"

Valic lifted the cat up gently, cradling him and walking into the master bathroom to give him a warm bath, he ran the water and waited for it to get to a nice temperature, then he plugged it and set Joshua in the filling tub.

Joshua purred as the warm water rushed over his freezing skin. He went completely under, fur floating to the top. He popped up and splashed around. "Come in!"

Valic chuckled softly and shut the water off when it was at a decent height for the cat's body, "Sorry but I can't fit in that tub with you." He murmured softly and watched as the cat enjoyed himself.

"Are you sure?" Joshua laid on his side in the tub, eyes half shut. He scooted to one end of the tub so Valic could have three fourths of it.

Valic thought for a moment and shifted dog, putting a paw in and stepping into the tub after him with a small growl - he wasn't used to baths all that much. Normally Jane would put a big kiddy pool in the yard with water and soap in it and just play while he was in there.

Joshua smirked. "What? I'm a cat and I can deal with more water than you!" He splashed around in the warm water, sneezing lightly.

Valic shook his head a little bit, his weight made the water rise a little bit. "I'm not used to hot baths in the winter. I'm used to cold baths in the summer." He gave off a slight chuckle, "Bless you."

"Blech, cold bathes. You dogs are strange creatures." Joshua yawned and pawed at Valic's nose. "I wish to pass this migraine to…the dumb dog in front of me!"

Valic gently bit the other's paw lightly and licked his cheek lightly with a growl, "Shut up, kitty." He growled out before nudging him lightly and sitting up, the water never touched his back.

Joshua sat up as well. "What is it, scared-of-water dog?" He teased with a smirk. "Can't handle kitty stink?" His scent was almost eliminated by the humid air that always smelled like soap.

Valic lightly nipped one of Joshua's ears, "Hush you, I can handle water perfectly fine." He growled out before nudging him slightly and sniffing, "Actually - you smell good, not like heat."

"Well I should just live in here then." Joshua ducked away from the sniffs and nips, swimming lightly over to Valic. "Hey, fight me."

"No, the tub's too small for that." Valic stated, pushing Joshua to the other end of the tub while he sat there, he could just push the white fluff back and forth but that wouldn't be all that fun.

Joshua lashed his tail side to side. "Well, get some bubbles in here or something!" He gazed at Valic then at the shampoo bottle, and then sneezed.

Valic shifted human so he could do as demanded, grabbing the bottle and pouring its contents into the tub and shaking the water around to form a mass amount of bubbles, which it did. He soon just used his tail to do the work and in no time, bubbles were everywhere.

Joshua purred and grabbed at the bubbles with sharp claws. "Order them to stop popping, slave!" Joshua growled as a bubble popped under a sharp claw.

Valic lifted a large amount of bubbles on his nose and brought it over to Joshua, "Sheath your claws, dummy." He barked lowly to the other as he held out his muzzle to show a massive bubble resting on tiny bubbles and suds.

Joshua's eyes widened at the bubble and he relaxed his hand, reaching out a paw and took it from his muzzle. He attempted to hug it and failed--it popped. "Dangit!"

Valic shook the bubbles off his nose with a soft chuckle, "Sit still." He mumbled, getting anther big bubble, he leaned over and got small suds on top of Joshua's muzzle, then placed a larger bubble on the suds.

Joshua went cross-eyed trying to stare at the bubble on his nose. He gazed at Valic for a few seconds and purred softly then shifted Neko--he was, again, only in his boxers.

Valic looked at the neko in front of him - but stayed as a dog so things wouldn't be awkward or anything. He mentally pursed his lips and shook his head to get water off the ends of his ears.

Joshua's scent may have been weakened but it was still there. He grabbed the dog's head and rubbed his cheeks, gazing at him with his ashy eyes. He grinned and scratched behind his ears.

A back foot started to drum on the bath floor underneath him, the water swishing around as a spot behind his ear was scratched - tilting his head up and to the side a little to have it scratched better.

Joshua grinned and continued the scratching on that special spot, purring softly. "Oh~Puppy has a puppy button~" He teased out with a smirk, this would obviously be used against him.

Valic licked water off his big black nose and kept thumping his foot - but after a moment Joshua lost that little spot and ended up scratching too far to the left, making that thumping stop.

Joshua huffed and scooted his hand closer so that he would resume scratching that little sweet spot. He leaned closer to try and figure out exactly were it was.

Valic started to thump his foot again, tilting his head over to the touching with a low growl - enjoying the scratching. Though if he were an Inu and you kissed his fluffy ear - or human ear - he'd spazz out and hide off.

Joshua laughed softly and stopped scratching. "I'm not nice to growlers." He said, leaning back on the tub. "The water's getting cold and the bubbles are gone, refill it and make more bubbles." He whined.

Valic shifted half human and gently pushed Joshua out of the way, unplugging the tub and waiting until the water was gone, then plugged it up and poured some soap on the plug before turning the water on - instant bubbles. He also poured in more soap as the water filled the tub.

Joshua jumped in the warm water before it was done and splashed it up at Valic. "Hey, quit being so rude!" He whined. "Put some clothes on, have some shame!" Since Val was only in boxers too…(>.>)

Valic raised a brow at Joshua and reached down, snapping the other's boxer line that had elastic in it, "Shut it, you should have shame too." He growled lowly - teasing softly but he began to dry off since he wasn't getting back in.

Joshua gazed at Valic and whimpered softly when he saw he was going to be alone. "H-hey, get back in here. Kitties don't like being alone."

Valic looked over at the sick cat, "I'm just going to sit over here." He murmured, tossing the towel to the side and just standing there with his arms crossed and ankles crossed - leaning on the counter.

Joshua growled and splashed water onto the dry Inu. He flipped around in the warm water and smirked. "Come get me, puppy!"

Valic jumped a little and growled lowly at the cat, "I'll turn the cold water on!" He threatened, but just stepped over and started splashing the neko with the warm water.

"You do cold water and I kill you." Joshua growled, sinking down to hide under the warm soapy water.

Valic pulled Joshua out of the water instead as punishment for being rude to him, "You're just as naked as I am, dumb kitty." He growled a little and threw a towel over the cat with a huff.

Joshua hissed and shoved the towel off, jumping back i to the warm water. "I ain't done with this bath yet, dummy!" He growled and hissed.

Valic raised a brow at the other and gave off a growl, "I guess I'll be leaving you then." He sang out and dried off what the other splashed on him.

"H-hey, wait!" Joshua quickly unplugged the water and grabbed a towel, yanking it over himself and racing after Valic. He sneezed and tripped.

Valic whipped around and caught Joshua before he fell onto the floor, gently lowering him onto the carpet and patting him dry with a small sigh before he pulled Joshua up onto his feet, "Silly cat, you shouldn't have to rush after me."

Joshua sneezed and shivered, having no time to dry he was freezing again. "W-well, then you shouldn't leave me!" He growled.
