The Cat and The Dog.

Valic dried him off fully and lifted him up, going to the heating mat, wrapping him up into the big blanket with a soft sigh. "Don't blame it on me."

Joshua stayed in a half form, snuggling deeply into the blankets. "The least you could do would be cuddle me." He growled softly.

Valic sighed and lifted the new burrito blanket Joshua, pulling him on his lap and cradling him a little - firmly to his chest.

Joshua shut his eyes and leaned towards the petting, purring loudly and gently licked at his ear, right on that ticklish spot since he knew Val hated it.

Valic shook his head and tipped his head away from Joshua with a growl, ears down to hide off and away from the other with a small huff. "Don't do that..."

"Hmph, no." Joshua pulled Val's ear up by force and kissed the spot, licking it over and over to force him in the loving torture.

Valic shook his head towards the ticklish gestures and shook his head again to get out of it, "Stop - that's weird." He growled lightly and tired tugging his ear out of the little grasp.

"You don't stop when I say so." Joshua teased with a smirk, gazing at the Neko with that smart alek look on his face.

"Don't make me do anything you wouldn't want." Valic growled out and twitched his ear with a small glower, sure he was playing around slightly but he didn't like that tickle feeling.

Joshua finally leaned back and rolled his eyes, releasing the ear so it could flattened against his head. "Fine fine, dumb dog." He sneezed and curled up under the blankets with a small yawn to show his cute little teeth.

Valic leaned back against the bed and put the burrito Joshua between his legs so he didn't have to hold him and so he wouldn't roll over on his sides, Valic's stomach would easily be used as a pillow.

Joshua rested his head on the other's stomach, eyes fluttering shut. He sneezed into his belly and just chuckled softly before attempting to drift off. His throat burned and his nose hurt.

Valic ran his hand through the other's hair with a soft sigh, just allowing the cat to do what he wanted, pursing his lips a little, looking down at him and rubbing his forehead - which was slowly returning to a regular temperature.

Joshua couldn't sleep, he wasn't used to being sick so he just enjoyed the snuggling. The small cat flicked his healed tail side to side. "So now do you believe me when I said my owners would throw me out over a broken tail?"

"Yea, I do. And that makes her a total bitch." He growled out before he reached over and gently snatched the tail up to look at the healed appendage.

It was impossible to tell there was a break. The tail tried to lash itself free of the grip but he just sighed softly and flattened his ears. "Language, please, dog." He growled out softly.

"Why do you care?" Valic asked with a raised brow while he fumbled with the tail a little bit, then let it go and leaned back against the bed, "She was - always treating you like you were nothing."

Joshua began to lick at his long drying fluffy coat. He sneezed as he got his thoughts together. "I guess that's what I had always grown up with so I wasn't used to love or petting."

Valic nodded a little, "You get over it and you enjoy the fact that you get something you don't have." He murmured with a small sigh - seeing as he came from the puppy mill, saved at the age of human years - seven.

Joshua rested his head on his paws and gazed at the floor. He sneezed and hissed softly, his throat still burning. "Well...I know you were born in a puppy mill, but that's about it."

Valic looked down at him, "I was crammed in a small metal cage with six other dogs. All bigger than me and stepping on me. They ate and I didn't. You had a better life, so what if you didn't get all the love - at least you ate something to help you grow." His words weren't filled with venom, rather they were soft - like he was remembering that horrible dark area.

Joshua didn't want to get into his past. It actually wasn't as pretty of a picture as most animals painted for purebreeds. He just licked at Valic's cheek, as if showing affection. "Well then let's help you get a pup-hood. Once I'm better we'll roll around in the leaves with Jane and I'll throw the ball around for you."

Valic rolled his eyes at that comment, "Nah I'm fine, you don't need to push your cat naps aside for a big dumb dog." He murmured down to the other below him with a soft sigh, he knew how important sun baths and sleeping were to cats.

"Resting is boring. I wish I could go for walks." Joshua stood up, and sneezed, shoving the blanket off. "I know how to do it too!"

Valic looked down at the other, "Maybe if Jane sees that you want to go on walks then she'll buy a leash and harness for you and you can go on morning jogs with us. So long as you don't care about muddy paws."

"As long as I get a bath afterwards." Joshua yawned with a smirk, and jumped from the bed. "I think this is just a 24 hour cold thing."

Valic looked over at the other with a raised brow while he stood up and followed after the other, but he stretched and his stomach growled loudly, giving out a howl. "You hungry, cat?"

"Yes. I'll jus eat all of the meat from your bowl." Joshua smeezed and flicked his tail side to side. The cold may be 24 hours but it was only a few hours settled in.

Valic rolled his eyes a little, "Lies!" He barked and trotted into the kitchen to the bowl, there were meat chunks in it still, "I shall eat it all before you can savor a taste!"

Joshua skittered over and stood protectively over the bowl, hissing. He ate one of the chunks and swiped his tongue over his mouth. "Mmm…such good food and the dumb dog gets none!"

Valic nudged the cat out of the way and bit most of the food from the bowl and crunched the kibble bits before snatching up a chunk of meat before bumping the cat out of the way, "Shut up, dumb cat." He growled out teasingly.

Joshua arched his back and snatched the food right out of Valic's jaws. He raced away to hide under the bed, and began to chew his prize. Unlike before, when he was running out of fear, today it was part of the game.

Valic woofed down his food with a low growl, though his tail was wagging slightly while he ate the food in his bowl, enjoying each bite and each chew, soon most of it was gone, all that was left was a little kibble.

Joshua finished his bite or two and stepped out. "Hog!" He yowled and flipped over with a sneeze, rubbing his scent on the floor. He yowled louder, obviously in the mood for roughhousing.

Valic walked over to the cat and roughly nudged him with his nose with a low growl, "Says you, getting to be a chubby kitty." He murmured - which was a good thing, really. But it was fun to tease him.

Joshua jumped up and viciously slapped at Valic's nose with his paws--claws in of course. He turned and raced away, then turned back around to play roughhouse-if-you-can-catch-me and then runaway.

Valic's head pulled away before chasing after the cat with his tail up high and nearly curling on his back as he barked towards the cat, catching up and swatting his tail lightly.

Joshua hissed and flipped over, attacking the dog's face. He growled and jumped up and away again, he was an expert at this game.

Valic stopped when he was batted at but followed as soon as the other had darted off again, nipping the small space at the base of his tail where it connected between his cat hips.

Joshua picked up his speed and jetted away, as if his tail was on fire. He dove under the master bed and yowled, since Val couldn't reach him this was a good teasing time.

Valic barked lowly and made his way to the bed and leaned down to try and get under the bed but was unable to wriggle under and snatch the cat up.

Joshua smirked and scooted back further, teasing Valic. "What's wrong fats, can't fit under?" He whined teasingly and pawed at his nose.

Valic growled and reached in a paw, slapping it on one of his small paws with a growl, trying to pull him out with a huff. He ended up missing and tried to wriggle his head and shoulders under. "I'm not fat, chubby."

Joshua jumped on Valic's face and got his scent all over Valic's nose, the irresistible heat scent. He sat on his face to drive him crazy.

Valic snapped and grabbed the cat's tail, dragging him out and lying down on top of him, licking his fur - now in a mood from the scent - but he couldn't do anything to the other since he was too small and he was a cat at the moment.

Joshua could feel the way Valic wanted him, and hissed, trying to twist free. He decided to have some fun with this and shifted Neko, flicking his tail so the scent got deeply to Valic.

Valic looked ready to drool and the tail wiggled behind him before he stood up and pounced on the other, shifting Inu half way in the pounce and slightly pinning him down.

Joshua stayed on his back and gazed up at Valic. "Hey, get off." he growled softly, to start up a little bit of a game. He knew Val would stop at nothing to try and breed with him.

Valic kept the other pinned and gently bit the other's neck, tail high and wagging - same with his ears, only they just sat perked up while he started marking the other by scenting him.

Joshua felt the familiar biting on his skin and sighed. So they were playing this game? He didn't like this one, once Val had bitten him so hard he scarred his neck. There was the little white mark on his neck skin.
