The Cat and The Dog.

Valic walked over and pulled him out of the litter box, brushing the litter out of his fur with a small sigh. "Well then breed with the cats."

Joshua shook himself free of the grip and hissed softly, pawing at his ear. "I don't want to breed with those cats. I don't want to breed with anyone, actually." He muttered out softly.

Valic nodded his head, "And why's that?" He asked while picking the grains out of Joshua's fur, flipping him on his back to get his underbelly.

Joshua let himself get flipped onto his back and rested his head on the ground, tail calmly flicking side to side. "I don't want kittens right now...that means I get kicked out of the show ring for at least two years."

Valic nodded his head, "Well actually - cross breeding species makes it near impossible to breed." He murmured to the other as he tossed away the litter.

"And what are you suggesting?" Joshua flipped over and gazed up at Valic, with a confused kitty look on his face. "I've seen cat/dog mixes...they look kinda like foxes but just...a little different."

"That's if they're compatible." He murmured to the other, knowing he wasn't compatible with the other in any way. He brushed back his black hair and continued to pick out litter.

"Explain what you mean by compatible." Joshua said, eyes shut as he was treated like a princess from Valic. He purred softly and flipped over, wanting to get a belly rub.

Valic ran his fingers down the silky fur and shrugged a little, "One has to be highly fertile to do it since they're different species. And they aren't fixed." He murmured out with a soft sigh.

Joshua gave a small nod and frowned in thought. He met all those qualifications and obviously had the female body...but he shook the thought from his head. "Oh." He murmured and wrapped his tail around Valic's hand.

(Pfft~)

Valic gave a low growl and leaned down, kissing the soft pink nose before he sat back and gently rubbed his stomach, raising a brow to the curling tail.

Joshua shut his eyes to the nose kiss and coiled his tail tighter around his arm. It was an obvious sign of possession--he was slowly shifting into a mood without realizing it.

Valic nibbled his cheek gently before rubbing on the cat a little, sniffing his soft chest for a moment, his natural scent was sweet and tempting on its own.

Joshua gazed calmly at Valic. "What are you doing?" He asked, raising a kitty eyebrow.

Valic looked up with a small glower, "You smell good..." He murmured out and gently nuzzled into the other's chest fur.

"I…huh?" Joshua asked himself, gazing a the dog who was sniffing him all over. "I just smell like me, dog."

"Exactly..." He growled lowly and pressed a kiss to his chest while he hugged his arms around the other's middle with a small soft sigh, holding him close with a small hum.

Joshua shifted to a half Neko so it wouldn't be awkward and gazed at the male who was holding him. "And me doesn't smell like heat."

Valic nodded in agreement, holding him the same way as the other and kissed his chest plate gently, demanding some attention as well, "You have a natural scent, I like that one more..."

Joshua was a little confused but decided to just go along with it. His tail coiled around Valic's leg and his ears perked. But he jumped and accidentally clawed Valic's cheek, shifting full cat and racing away, when Niles slammed against the door.

Valic growled when his cheek was slashed and glared at the door where Niles was, how annoying.... He walked off and after Joshua, "Hey, kitten." He called after him, following him into another room.

Joshua was crouched under a dresser, in a near impossible space to reach him. He trembled lightly, obviously he got spooked easily. He ran his tongue along his jaws, mewing softly.

Valic reached under and tried to pull him out, "Come here kitten." He hummed softly, patting the ground, "I promise everything will be okay." He murmured to the kitty.

Joshua hesitantly crawled closer to Valic, gazing at him nervously. He almost reached the other when he screeched and whirled around, hiding further under the dresser. He had seen Niles viciously clawing his way through the glass door.

Valic reached under and got the cat out from the dresser and shut the door to the guest room, he gently pushed the other. Wondering over the others mood with a soft sigh, pushing again lightly.

Joshua was scared. His ears were flat on his head and he stared at Valic with his huge eyes, he just wanted comfort. And love. He was scared of Niles.

Valic lifted him up and sat on the guest bed where he hugged him to his chest and rubbed his back softly, "Shhh, it's okay kitty." He murmured against the other's neck while hugging him close to his chest to soothe him.

Joshua shifted to a half Neko. A shudder could be felt racing down his spine. Niles snarled and barked viciously, but the back door was too strong for him.

Valic smirked, the guest door was half open so Niles could see a little into the room. He pressed a kiss to the other's neck gently and continued to rub his back and hold him close with a small sigh, "Things'll be alright...."

Joshua placed his hands on Valic's shoulders and sighed ever so softly, gazing at the big Inu in front of him. The small cat began to relax, ignoring the barking Niles.

Valic pressed a gentle bite on Joshua's neck, the front this time as he placed his arms around Joshua's middle, pulling him closer and giving another small bite while lightly pushing him. Nuzzling and rubbing his scent on the blonde between bites and nips.

Niles gave a furious snarl and Joshua jumped, trying to squirm away. But the way Val was holding him, he was stuck. So the small Neko mewed shakily, ears flat.

Valic held him close and moved to sit in front of the other so that his back was to Niles and so that Joshua would only see him. "Shhh, it's alright kitten..." He murmured, leaning down and kissing his chest plate again.

Joshua gazed at Valic's face, tuning out the vicious sounds of barking. Niles could tell he was losing Joshua so he shifted to a half wolf and began to pick the lock with a long claw.

Valic kissed down his chest before resting his hands on the other's hips, gently rubbing them to get a purr or a scent from the other. He licked the other's neck softly and snaked his hands up the other's shirt.

Joshua couldn't help but let a faint purr sound escape his throat. He didn't know why he was behaving like this…but he went with it. Niles got the lock undone and yanked open the door, snarling.

Valic's large ear twitched backwards towards Niles but he ignored the wolf while he continued to gently ravish and plunder the smaller body below him, grabbing him by his waist and pulling him back so that he was lying down but somewhat on Val's lap.

Niles snarled and jumped forwards, snapping his fangs down on Valic's neck. He tore viciously and yanked him off the small cat. Blood poured from the deep neck wound and he snarled, ears flat. Joshua screeched and dove under the dresser again.

Valic snarled and reached back, grabbing him by the silver wolf ears and ripping him off, yanking hard before biting his neck as well, shoving him up against the wall with a low growl. "Get the fuck out!" He snapped loudly at Niles.

Niles was full wolf. He roared viciously and snaked free of the attack, and snapped his fangs on the back of Valic's neck. He was in an impossible to reach place. Joshua tensed up under the dresser, then raced out--still a cat--and jumped onto Niles' back, clawing up and attacking his face.

Valic shifted to a full dog and turned, snapping down on the other's shoulder with a snarl, ripping at his flesh and pawing at him roughly, he didn't like this. He's been interrupted several times and now Joshua was probably out of the mood for the rest of the week... How annoying.

Niles snarled and snapped his teeth down on Valic's scruff, slamming him on the ground. He held him down and growled, reaching down and about to bite his neck to kill. Joshua yowled and lashed his tail side to side, the heat scent was still there. Niles lifted his head, unable to resist.

Valic sighed in relief when the other let go to get to Joshua, getting up and pouncing on his back and snapping down on the back of his neck as well, ripping at his throat while trying to claw his face.

Niles blinked as he realized he had just lost the chance of winning. He yelped and growled, wiggling around on the ground before shifting to a Neko--where he shoved Valic off.

Valic shifted as well and raised a fist after he was shoved to the side - slamming his fist in the other's face and connecting it to his jaw.

Niles snarled and raced away, out the back door. Joshua purred and shifted to a Neko. "Oh yeah! I did all the work and you did nothing~dumb dog~"

Valic snorted a bit at the other neko and looked down at him with a raised brow, 'Mmm, sure - I did nothing but prance around." He said with a smirk before lifting up the neko.

Joshua squirmed free and slammed the back door shut, locking it tightly. He gazed back at Valic, flicking his tail side to side lightly. He purred softly and gazed at the Inu, ears flattening on his head. "You do nothing while I work so hard."

Valic followed after the other with the roll of his eyes, going over and gently yanking the cat's tail, "I guess I could call you my little hero, ne?" He murmured, neck bleeding a bit - most clotting.

Joshua frowned and leaned over, lightly licking at Valic's neck wound. It was his instinct to want to clean and protect his loved ones, and cleaning this wound that almost killed him was part of that job. "Yeah."
