The Cat and The Dog.

Valic looked at the other from where he lay on his back, brushing shed fur off his chest while he looked to him, "Hmmm, well - I don't know. Why do you ask?" He questioned, not sure the other would think like that towards him.

"Well, I know wolves and dogs pick mates for life. And since you, well..." Joshua shifted to a full cat, flipping over. "I was just thinking. Not every family has babies."

Valic sat up and pet the cat's back softly, looking down at him with furrowed brows, confused at the words. "You and I won't breed together." He murmured to the other - thinking that Joshua was opposed to that, "You said you never wanted to breed, remember?"

Joshua gave a faint shrug. "That would taint the bloodline, but again, she kicked me out. With this scratch scarring on my side I'll lose so many points that I'll get at most second place. My show-cat life is ending--they're fast and fleeting."

"You really care about that show life of your's...." He mumbled out lowly under his breath while he looked to the silver white fluff on his chest.

Joshua began to knead Valic's chest, eyes half shut. "Yeah, but after that--what am I going to do? Become a house cat." He rested his head under Valic's chin, eyes fluttering shut. "And a lot of female house cats have kittens. I really do want kittens, but apparently they're going to be pretty little hybrids."

"You don't have to breed with me if you don't want - you seem pretty good with that other cat..." He mumbled down to Joshua, gently running his hand down the other's furry back.

"But he didn't have enough balls to kiss me, did he?" Joshua asked, arching his back as he was pet down his spine. "Besides, I prefer the big bad dogs--I've recently come around to realizing this."

Valic frowned a little - he still didn't get it... He wasn't going to push it though, he wouldn't upset the other either - there was no need to piss the fluff ball off any way. "Hm, I guess so."

Joshua gazed out the window, it was rather dark. He stood up and yawned, padding towards the litterbox. "I'm gonna go to sleep, okay, dumb dog?"

Valic watched the cat leave his side and go towards his litter box, Valic jumped down and off the couch - as an Inu - he scooped up the cat and started to the guest room.

Joshua blinked as he was 'swooped of his paws' and gazed back at Valic. He shifted to be a Neko and nuzzled into him--he was still shirtless from before. He shuddered, a little bit cold.

Valic walked to the big dog bed and curled up on it with the other in his grasp still, holding him close while he watched out of the room for a few seconds - good, Niles was gone.

Niles was out in the woods with his pack, he was planning some sort of attack. But it wouldn't happen for a while. Joshua yawned and snuggled beside Valic, resting against the older male's chest.

Valic sighed a bit and gently scratched the other's back, he leaned back against the wall while he held on tightly to keep the half naked other warm.

Joshua shut his eyes, attempting to doze off while being warm and happy. He wrapped his arms around Valic back, knowing he must be cold as well.

Valic didn't need the warmth from the other, he had his own warmth that radiated and kept him internally warm and that's all that mattered while he lay there - still well and awake.

Valic was still asleep, nestled up to the neko, resting up against his back with a small sigh while he inhaled his scent from the back of his neck. He had a limp grasp him as well, still in the dog bed.

Joshua was more than happy to stay in the grasp. His sides rose and fell lightly, and he yawned as he woke up. That pesky cold was gone now, so now he could play to his full extent. He sat up and poked Valic's nose. "Wake uuuuuuup!"

Valic growled and moved a bit with a soft sigh, sitting up and looking down at the other before he stretched much like a dog would - butt up in the air. He then looked at other and laid back down with a small sigh, "Can't I sleep in?"

Joshua gazed at Valic's butt for a few seconds then shook his head, bringing him back to the present. "Nope, it's all about me~I want some breakfast."

Valic shook himself off and nodded his head before he sat up and stretched a little more before standing up, pulling Joshua to his feet, "Fine but you owe me later." He mumbled before leading the blonde out of the room towards the kitchen.

Joshua followed after Valic, snatching up his shirt on the way. He tugged it on and padded after the dog. "Now make me the finest that you can~Steal a steak and cook it just the way I like it~"

Valic looked back at the blonde and leaned over, biting his nose before he started to look around the house - making sure that Jane wasn't around while he made a steak for the cat.

Joshua rolled around for a few seconds on the floor before standing up, going to get some kibble for Valic. It was only polite to return the favor--he wasn't as rude as Valic always deemed him to be.

Valic noted that Jane was off at work and went into the kitchen where he snatched a steak from the fridge, "Alright, cat - how do you want it?" He asked over his shoulders to the other, holding out the nice set of meat.

"Well done, dumbo. No pink." Joshua poured the kibbles into Valic's bowl. "Now here, I've got your food. Now love me."

Valic rolled his eyes at the comment, "alright, alright." He mumbled over and pulled out the small indoor grill that needed to be plugged in. He placed the meat on it and lit the small grill.

Joshua watched the steak like, well, a hungry cat. "Is it done?" He asked two seconds later, his stomach growling. "You're starving a kitty here!"

Valic looked over at him with a raised brow, "Oh hush now, it's perfectly fine - you just have to wait for about half an hour."

"But! That's waaaaay too long!" Joshua whined out, shifting cat and running after Valic. He clawed at the other's leg, but without his claws out-just pawing desperately.

Valic looked down at him and reached, lifting him up and cradling him in one arm, "Sorry fluffy but you're gonna have to wait." He mumbled softly with a slight sigh, gently scratching his head. "Unless you want it half cooked."

Joshua rubbed his head on Valic's hand, purring and yawning. "You're starving me, puppy. I'm too skinny, all this fluff outweights my body!"

Valic hushed the cat by blowing his ears lightly, "Shush up, I'm doing the best I can." He murmured and flipped the steak over to cook the other side. "Go eat some kibble or something while you wait." He murmured, setting the white fluff to the ground.

Joshua smiled and rolled around on the floor. "Don't blame me if I shrivel up and die!" Joshua giggled, and went to eat a kibble.

Valic rolled his eyes while he continued to cook the steak, seasoning it and cleaning up any mess that seemed to happen, though it was finished in a few minutes - he set it on a plate, cutting it into bits before setting it on the ground. He then started cleaning everything up so Jane didn't suspect a thing.

Joshua began to eat the steak, savoring every little second. "Mm…this is so good…" He purred out and tilted his head back to gaze at Valic.

Valic looked down to the fluff ball and pat his head before grabbing a little kibble, tossing it in his mouth like popcorn, "I'm glad you like it." He murmured before heading over to the couch to laze a little bit - waiting for the kitty to join his side.

Joshua devoured the steak. He was turning more and more of a slob each day, and less dainty. He swallowed and padded to Valic.

Valic scooped the fluff up as he was passing over, seeing steak juice all along his whiskers and mouth. "How tasty - steak flavored cat!" He teased - looking ready to devour him like he did the steak moments before hand.

Joshua shifted to be a Neko and grinned, licking some juice. "Want a taste~?" He purred out lowly, tail flicking side to side. Not caring that Neku was staring in.

Valic shrugged a little, "I don't see the harm." He mumbled lowly before leaning up and licking away the mess, soon pressing a kiss to the other's lips - who was sat atop him, or as the other loved to call it, the 'dominant role'. Valic pulled Joshua down a little more and pressed the gentle kiss a little more - unaware of the onlooker.

Joshua's eyes fluttered shut at the gentle licks and then the kiss, twining his fluffy tail with Valic's. He only lifted his head upon hearing Neku growl out," You're both sick." And jump over the fence. Clearly he didn't support cat x dog.

Valic was a tad confused when the other's attention drifted away and looked back - but Neku was gone. "What stole your attention?" He asked, moving his tail to curl around Joshua's as well, placing his hands on the other's waist.

Joshu shook his head a little bit, pushing the memory back to think later. "Just a hater." He yawned and rested his body against Valic's, needing a cuddle.

Valic nodded his head and rubbed Joshua's back, scratching where the other liked it most before he returned to simple strokes, resting his head on Joshua's. "When do you jump back on your cycle?"

Joshua arched his back with a vicious purr, nibbling at Valic's chin. "Soon, maybe I'll wake up tomorrow with it…why do you ask?" He asked, gazing at his dumb dog.

Valic looked down at him with half lidded eyes, "I don't want to randomly attack you - I'd like to know these things now that you and I are.... More close." He murmured, not knowing the proper words.

Joshua gave a small nod, tail flicking side to side. He knew he acted more…naughty, on cycle, but that was instinct. And Valic wanting him was instinct.
