High School Drama.

"I don't want to get hurt just as much as you do, Joshua - It's been forever since I actually liked someone and I don't want to be battered and beaten like then." His tone was soft, a faint whisper when talking to the other, turning a bit to glance and look the other over a moment.

Joshua glanced over at Valic, holding his gaze. "Hey, I don't…I'm the person who's always left. I'm always the one who is broken up with."

Valic nodded his head a little and shifted a bit to lay on his side and face Joshua somewhat better than he had before, looking him over a moment. "So if I asked you to be my boyfriend - you'd say 'yes'?"

Joshua paused slightly then nodded. "I would say yes…" He mumbled softly, his heart was racing in his chest and he gazed at Valic.

"Then I guess you and I are now together." Valic murmured, pulling Joshua closer since he needed to be cuddled if he wanted to fall asleep. "Did you want to continue talking or did you want to get some sleep?" Valic asked the smaller, younger male while looking down to him.

Joshua swallowed and gazed at Valic, somewhat nervous. "Uh…I just want to stay up and talk." He mumbled out softly, gazing at Val.

Nodding his head softly, Valic reached a hand up and brushed back his raven black bangs so they weren't in his face, "Mmm, OKay - what do you want to talk about then?" Valic glanced down at Joshua, figuring he wouldn't be rude.

"I don't know." Joshua mumbled out softly, glancing up at Valic with his gentle eyes. "What about you?"

"Well, since it's going to be me and you now, let's talk about that. I have the privilege to leave school during lunch since I'm a senior - would you like to go out to lunch with me instead of staying in school? And do you want me to pick you up in the mornings?"

"I'd like to leave school for lunch." Joshua mumbled out softly, looking up at Valic. "Are you allowed to take people off campus?"

"As long as a senior takes you then you can leave campus, yes." He murmured softly, reaching over and toying with a blonde lock for a moment - it was soft, but he set it down and just hugged the other while thinking to himself for a second or two, unaware the other was tapped in from before.

"And I guess you can pick me up in the morning." Joshua said with a small shrug. He shut his eyes and listened to Valic's thoughts.

Valic nodded his head a little bit and sat up slowly, getting up and looking over to the other, "Let's go watch TV in the bonus room." He waved for the other to follow with lips being bitten form the inside.

Joshua blinked and followed after Valic, stretching out and yawning. The small teen gazed over at Valic and plopped on the bed, looking at Val.

Valic sat down by the other and pulled up the blanket before grabbing both remotes, turning on the Tv and then turning on the Netflix to see what was on, "Anything special you want to watch?" He asked, seeing as they had Anime, cartoons, horror movies, comedies, etc.

"I dunno." Joshua gave a small shrug. "I don't care really, as long as it doesn't scare me." He gazed at Valic so innocently.

"Then let's watch Courage The Cowardly Dog." He knew that wasn't scary - anymore at least. He gave off a sigh before shifting in the bed and glancing back at Joshua, "You keep staring, is there something on my face?"

Joshua blinked and lowered his head, a faint blush on his face. "N-no, you're fine." He mumbled out softly, refusing to glance up.

Valic noticed the color on his face and gave a small smile, rubbing his cheek slightly, "Well now you have something on your face, dumbo." He murmured, rubbing over the blush as if it would go away like ice cream, but it didn't so he pulled his hand away. "Have you kissed Neku before?"

Joshua glanced up at Valic. "Y-yeah…a lot actually…but not anymore." He mumbled, wondering where Valic was going with this whole thing. "What are you asking?"

Valic shrugged, "Just wondering if he was ever good at it or if he was a sloppy kisser." looking at Joshua for an answer towards the comment he just made, he was probably better than Neku was - he had more experience after all.

Joshua gave a small yawn and looked at Valic. "He was a bad kisser…but half of it must have been me." Je murmured out ever so softly.

Valic snorted faintly, "Don't blame yourself for his weird kisses, I could show you better kisses if you wanted. I already hug you better than he does, I know that." Valic hummed out, it was already clear because Val was bigger and stronger and could easily make the other feel safe and protected in a mere embrace.

Joshua glanced up at Valic, head tilted to the side. "Show me? How?" He asked quietly, gazing over at the TV. "What do you mean?"

"I could kiss you better than he ever could." Valic stated bluntly to the other with a content hum, looking at the Tv and watching the screen a little longer before he turned to the other to scan him over. With a soft yawn he looked back to the screen and stared with content, "But only if you wanted me to, we don't have to any time soon."

Joshua gazed down at the bed. "Well…I hope that…do you want to?" He asked kind of quietly. He wondered how Valic kissed, Neku was really the only person.

"We'll only kiss if you want to." Valic said with a kind tone, giving him a reassuring smile and patting his head gently, he didn't want to honestly rush the other. At least half of him, the other half wanted to push the line and see how far he could go, but that was cruel... So he stuck to being kind and giving Joshua all the time he'd ever need.

"I guess you can try." Joshua mumbled out softly, eyes shut. "I mean, I wouldn't really mind all that much, but if you don't want to…"

Valic gave off a light laugh and poked his cheek gently, "I don't mind doing anything as long as you're OKay with it. If you say 'no' at any point in time with me, I'll stop whatever I'm doing. I tend to actually respect my partner so any real decisions like kissing - that's up to you, whatever makes you comfortable."

Joshua gazed at Valic before giving a small little nod, nervously gazing at the other. It was like he was anxious of this.

Valic gave a small nod and pulled Joshua a little closer by his hip, he tipped the other's head up gently before leaning down and carefully pressing his lips to Joshua's. The kiss was soft and tender, unlike his far future self...His lips were softer and unscared.

Joshua trembled lightly, he wasn't used to something like this. He hesitantly kissed the other's lips back, his own were dry, obviously from anxiety.

Valic had to lean down a bit to plant a kiss on the other, even so it didn't matter - it felt nice to just lightly kiss him, even if it was just a mere peck that lasted a little. Within moments after Joshua responded, he pulled away with a slight grin, "Eh, how's that?"

"Better than Neku." Joshua murmured out softly, licking his dry lips nervously. He seemed rather anxious about all of this, but not scared, a good sign.

Valic pet his head again and leaned back in the extra bed before lying back and against the actual mattress, "I'm glad you liked it then." He murmured while he turned the volume down since it was getting late.

{Night~ c: }

Joshua gazed at Valic then down at his hands, sighing. "I'm sorry I'm not a good…'boyfriend'." He mumbled out softly.

"What do you mean?" Valic raised a brow towards the other's comment, it was a rhetorical question to some extent really - leaning over he flicked Joshua nose lightly. "There's no right or wrong towards being in a relationship as long as you're happy together and committed to one another. "

Joshua gazed down and sighed softly, keeping a bit away from Valic as if himself was diseased. "I just don't feel very…you know…"

Valic seemed confused, "I can't read minds, Joshua - you're going to have to speak to me if you want me to understand." Valic turned over on his side and looked up at the blonde as he spoke to him.

"I'm just not that good of a person." Joshua sighed softly and lowered his head.

"Well I don't think so." Valic spoke out in a faint and low voice, keeping it hushed in case he heard anything going on down stairs. "I think you're a great person, a really nice person too." He looked at the bruise under his eye and gently rubbed at it, "We need to apply more of that stuff and your bruise'll be gone by morning."

Joshua gave a small nod but kept silent, snuggling under the covers with a sigh. He covered his head and curled up, acting exactly like a cat would.

Valic looked down at Joshua and raised a brow a moment before he turned the Tv off - the bonus/guest room was pitch black by now and dead silent. "Good night, Joshua." He murmured lightly with a yawn trailing at the ends of his words.

"Night." Joshua mumbled out softly, he had actually covered himself so Valic wouldn't see the light coming from his phone. The thick blankets prevented light from escaping.

Valic's eyes drooped closed and he was out cold in a matter of minutes, body completely slumped in the slightly narrow bed - though all the space was basically Joshua's since he was on the very edge of the bed. It was a tall guy thing - thinking he was taking up too much space because he was larger in just about all ways - height included.

Joshua tapped away quietly on the buttons, frowning slightly. He stood up and grabbed a pen and paper, writing a note. Valic…sorry, I had to leave. I'll see you at school in two or so days. It was an energency. He left the note where his pillow was and slipped downstairs, grabbing shoes and pushing his way through snow. No jacket or anything, in the dead of night in a snowstorm.

Valic slept in bliss, unaware of what had just happened - but the weight leaving the bed caused his body to react and he turned over and curled in the middle of the mattress for rest.

Joshua stepped through the heavy mounds of snow, growling softly as he shivered and shuddered. He knocked on the door to the cafè--locked. Mr. H probably fell asleep, again…such an old man. The teen stepped in the deep snow and began to dig a burrow like a husky, he had a lot of odd quirks. And since there was no service, he couldn't text Mr. H to let him in. The snow was howling too loudly.

Valic was a little upset that Joshua had left and didn't even text him, but that was alright... The main worries were if he scared Joshua away or the other wasn't sure if he still wanted to be with him and the friendship would be ruined... But either way he promised to pick the other up for school in the morning and that's what he was doing, so in the truck he went with his stuff in the trunk - driving down towards the cafe` where Joshua was at.

Joshua was actually walking to school, but taking back alleys. He always took this way. Honestly he totally forgot about Valic coming to pick him up and cursed quietly when he remembered. He was pulling out his phone to tell the other he forgot when suddenly a fist came out of nowhere--smacking him in the face. The small teen yelped and his phone hit the ground, sending Dcgmo to the other since it smacked the ground and hit random letters. Neku was standing there, glaring. "You're getting it, pretty." He picked Joshua up by his shirt collar and hit him across the face a few more times, then kneed him in the stomach twice and threw the tiny teen at the ground. "Sweet dreams." He growled, kicking the limp form a few times before getting up and running to the school.
