High School Drama.

Valic tensed up and pulled Joshua away from the elder male, pushing him back in the stall before looking at Mr. Wills. "He fell sick after getting here from having eaten something bad this morning - he was throwing up moments ago. And I'd suggest not handling a 'problem student' like that, with a witness here you could easily face a law suit due to the abuse if a hand print was left on his skin. Let a lone any single mark or indication of rough treatment. Now please - he's sick, you should leave." Valic didn't let the other speak since it wasn't much of an option for the teacher, but a command instead - telling a clear sign to leave and don't touch another student in that way. Valic was taller than Mr. Willis - he had this teacher in Second period, so he often got to judge his height against other teachers.

Mr. Willis just scowled and went to leave the bathroom, rubbing his bleeding wrist where Joshua had clawed. "What, you a lawyer or somethin'?" He asked. "What would you say to this--technically speaking, he attacked me." Without waiting for an answer he began to walk back to his class.

Joshua swallowed nervously, taking a few small, scared breaths. Usually the teachers just yanked him this way and that without a care, no one ever threatened lawsuit. "But they have legal rights to." He murmured out softly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Valic mocked behind the adults back when he left by merely hacking something in Serbian before looking back at Joshua. "It still gives him no right to lay his hand on you like that - with his size and how petty your body is, one wrong twist of the wrist and it's night night..." He sighed and sat down on the ground once more in thought, "But just be glad he didn't drag you to class - you don't need more hell on your plate."

Joshua went to speak but again was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. Unlike before, however, the teen glanced up hopefully. He waited by the door of the bathroom and was suddenly tackled back by Neku.

The sudden mood shift was incredible. Before, Joshua had been shaking in his shoes. Now he was grinning, laughing as he was hugged by his lover. That went to show how much emotion he showed around people he trusted. Neku gently rubbed Joshua's head. "Hey Buttmunch, heard you got sick. You're not leaving me alone in this school, right?"

Joshua shook his head no. "But…Mr. Willis came to take me away…" Neku frowned and glared at the classroom. "Yeah? I'll give him a piece of my mind…" Then he looked back and caught sight of Valic. He smiled over to him and waved, his arm around Joshua's skinny shoulders. "Are you stealing my boyfriend here?" He was obviously the joking person.

Valic merely watched the two converse a moment, upon the joking question he opened his mouth to speak before hearing snapping fingers. Looking over - he saw it was someone he didn't like and just stayed still a moment, though he sharply turned away as two text books were chucked at his face. Shoulders tense, but he didn't really react - not in front of these two since they were younger and didn't want to set a bad example - but he never did get a thanks for helping Joshua out, rather in his own eyes - Joshua saw Neku as the hero. "No, I'm not. And I hope you feel better." He stated in that calm and cool collected voice, grabbing his things and starting out of the bathroom to leave the two alone, he had training to get to for a game that night...

Joshua blinked as textbooks were thrown at Valic and flinched himself as they hit the other. He was about to speak but Neku began talking to him, leaning against the wall. Joshua sat down beside him and yawned slightly, gazing after Valic. He couldn't help but worry about the other…but he could easily mess someone up if they pissed him off.

He brushed back his wavy, ashy blonde hair and allowed his soft ashy eyes to flutter shut. His slim fingers curled around Neku's as he took small, graceful breaths.

Valic delayed on the training a moment, following after the two Foot Ball players and lifting the Stix, he checked them behind the knee and sent them falling to the ground in utter pain - Checks hurt like hell in all truth. He huffed and walked back towards the training area where the Lacrosse team was getting ready - but his mind was festering on what happened earlier, and it was bothering him beyond repair... He was the one he provided the safety... Yet that credit was gone and there wasn't a single thanks towards it. It didn't hurt much emotionally, but it did anger him to a slight extent.

Joshua gazed down at his hands for a bit until the bell rang. He jumped sharply and Neku helped him to his feet. "Come on, I'll escort you to your Spanish class." Neku smiled and took Joshua's bag for him, beginning to lead the way out of the bathroom. Joshua quickly followed right behind him, getting a writing idea in his head. He never paid attention in class anyways, it was a lost cause to try and get him to.

(But he's sexy :c)

Valic went to the coach - private training since he was supposed to be in Weights right now, but didn't actually need to be there. So he was getting help on a few things that weren't working for him. "Change into Uniform and step back out, all padding, and grab your Stix - meet me on the Mile track. Once there, cradle the yellow ball for seven laps - none stop, same pace. Don't drop it or you start over." The coach was an elder man - but he was a good influence on the teen, a strong man at that for his age. Valic nodded and did as told, he needed those seven laps for endurance, concentration, and so the coach had time to move equipment.

Neku waved goodbye to Joshua and began to walk to his own class. Joshua knew that Valic shared this Spanish class with him…but he was always late due to the sport he played. Whatever it was called. With a soft hum he pulled out a piece of paper and began to write, having a new poem idea in mind. He never did get to thank Valic, since he ran off so quickly after Neku came, and he said he liked poetry…

Scarlet looked up at Joshua from where she sat - she knew how to hack the school system and had her classes arranged to meet with Valic's - as scary and creepy as it sounded... She was his only real friend at this school. Everyone else went to a different school. Standing up, she sat down next to Joshua and glanced him over before starting to write in her Spanish book - she had taken this class all her life, she was a fluent speaker. "You're Joshua, correct?"

Joshua was pretty focused on writing. At the sound of Scarlet's voice he nearly smacked his head on the back of his chair. He was never spoken to. The teen kept his eyes on his paper, scared of making eye contact. Joshua mumbled," Y-yeah…what about it…?"

Scarlet shrugged her shoulders a little, "Eh, no reason. Although I must say that your PDA is rather strong and I'm against it - but that's my word in the matter." She murmured before she looked at him, "Are you going to homecoming with someone?" She knew the answer was yes - but for her...it was the fact that she really wanted to know if that someone would carry out with their promise. It was interesting to the Asexual girl to see how relationships worked between people that were hetero and weren't.

Joshua didn't like the way the girl talked, like he was just some kind of creature under a microscope. He just shrugged. "If I get asked I'll go like any normal person…is there something different about heterosexual and homosexual relationships beside genders?" He seemed ready to fight verbally…he was easily irritated. Especially about something like this.

"It's just interesting to me in all truth - I have no plans to go for I see no compatible other." She stated simply with a soft shrug before looking over at him from the corner of her blue glasses. "I just want to know if the homo sexual partner won't be afraid to stand out in a crowd full of hetero sexual people to prove their commitment and love for the other. I mean, if they can't and they refuse to go then I wouldn't see it as a 'match made in heaven'." She had a good point, and always said that to Valic, constantly attacking him about it - she brought him the extra boost in self esteem and courage. Speaking of the devil - the big Jock stepped into the room, still in uniform with all the padding on. A tired...sleepy...dehydrated mess of cuts, scrapes, and aching muscles.

Joshua glanced over to Valic and hid the oaper in his pocket, crumpling it like a piece of trash. "U-um…thanks for before…" He mumbled out, quickly sitting in his chair. He glanced at Scarlet and stood up again, still feeling irritated and short. "But not everyone is brave. Some want to keep it hidden. Are you saying that the couples who don't want to get hate and stay on the down low have a weaker bond than those who get up front and show it?" He balled a fist, glaring.

Valic panted in his seat, merely nodding his head towards the other before glancing towards Scarlet and Joshua - she was getting herself into hell again.. He stood up and grabbed her by the pony tail, covering her mouth with a gloved hand before she could speak and seating her away from Joshua. "Sorry about her - I'm working on that." He muttered, taking a sweaty shin guard and covering her nose in it as if that would teach her better - though she reacted like someone without a nose...just sat there.

Joshua just glanced back up front at the teacher, who could tell Joshua was a ticking bomb right now. He seemed quiet, cool, collected, when really he needed to get up and punch something, hard. A guy sitting behind Joshua snickered and whispered," Hey, fairy boy--trying to defend the weaker members of your homosexual tribe?"

Joshua glared back at the guy and quietly readjusted himself. Then, with the quickness and ferocity of a snake, lashed his slim fingers around the other teen's neck. They squeezed as Joshua slammed the guy into the ground, taking all his rage out on the poor guy. He was gasping and pleading as Joshua clawed his neck with one hand, slamming him harder into the ground with all his 90 pounds. The teacher just stood, watching in horror. She was too tiny and was an old woman, she couldn't do anything.

Valic stepped over - he wasn't a bystander - and ripped Joshua off. Pushing him away from the other guy, whom he shoved away on the ground like a dead rat. "Control your anger." Valic muttered out before looking down at this guy on the floor, "And you should learn more about who you deal with." It was obvious now that Joshua relied on speed and agility to take others down rather than brute force like himself. Scarlet merely watched...and wrote down notes about the scenery and what had happened, giving a small grin while doing so.

Joshua still felt furious. As soon as Valic released him to talk to the one he had just clawed, he caught sight of the girl, Scarlet, just writing down what had happened. Like this was some kind of movie and they had to take notes. It infuriated him. With a snarl he expertly weaved between desks at an almost impossible speed and slapped the notebook out of her hands, tearing out pages. After a few seconds he tackled her onto the ground, slamming her down as well. His once gentle ashy eyes were now narrowed in hate as he venomously spat," My life is NOT a documentary! You can't just come in all namby-pamby and take--notes!!" He tightened his fingers around her neck, digging nails in, obviously trying to kill.

Scarlet huffed at being shoved to the ground and raised her fists - hitting him in the face and slamming her knee between his legs several times before she reached a hand up and grabbed a handful of hair, ripping at it and scrapping her own nails against his scalp. She had been taking notes - yes. One sheet on Joshua, another on Valic, one on the guy that had been attacked - she had notes on everyone. If she wanted to grow up and be an informant - she had to start young.. The girl finally snapped and ripped his hair back hair, punching him straight in the middle of his throat and shoving him off. Valic didn't attempt to help the girl - she was strong enough on her own from the way her mother raised her, like she was a robot.

Joshua felt himself get thrown off and just laid on his side, taking small and shallow, quick breaths as he struggled to breathe. That punch in the throat had hurt, really bad…he shut his eyes and just laid there. He felt himself bleed from the many various injuries Scarlet gave him, but didn't make any movement to stop the blood flow. Of course there were people whispering, and Joshua wanted to get up and just kill them all, but…couldn't.

So he just laid there pitifully, taking less and less breaths, he did that a lot until he passed out. It was one of the things he did to just let go of everything for a while. He felt blackness overtake his world and let his eyes flutter shut, then automatic breathing kicked in. But the throat punch still had effect, and the breaths were shallow. To be honest he looked kind of dead.

Scarlet stood up with a cough and rubbed her neck where there was blood dripping slowly from the neck wound, "Ass.." She hissed before getting her things and leaving to see the Nurse about her injuries, Valic figured Joshua would need the same medical care for his wounds and walked over. He lightly lifted the other up - holding him awkwardly - and made his way to the Nurse.

Once there, he set the body on a bed and walked out so she could do what was needed to keep his body secure from falling and to keep the wounds from re-opening. Let alone she took proper care of them.

Joshua stayed out for a while, at some points he was awake but refused to open his eyes, still acting. He just waited until he heard the girl, Scarlet, get up and leave the Nurse to go to class. The way officials saw it, Joshua was the one to blame. Scarlet merely used self defense (even if it was a bit overboard). So two more marks were added to his already horrible record.

Valic frowned at Scarlet and she sat still while her neck was wrapped up and covered fully. "You should know limits by now." He said, sitting by Joshua while he rested - seeing as he may need another in the room in case the nurse acted up. "It's not my fault he jumped to conclusions - I was writing about you, not him." She cut Val off before he finished by walking out of the room and to her next class period with a soft huff.

Joshua remained still and silent even after Scarlet had left. Despite what Valic had done for him in the morning, he was a friend of the one he now feared…which meant Valic was something to fear in his mind. There were lots of thibgs to fear in his perspective. He just laid silent on the small bed, waiting for Valic to get up and follow his friend.

Valic stayed in his seat and began to do his homework while waiting for the other to wake, watching the nurse come over after a fifteen minute moment of utter silence. She had her bandages and wraps and began to tend to the wounds with a cleaning agent as well to help the wounds be cleansed.

Joshua winced away from the touch and sat up, glaring at the nurse. He didn't care if he was awake now. "Don't touch me." He growled out and pressed his back to the wall like she was going to bring pain to him. His soft ashy eyes narrowed at her as he scooted to be as far away as possible. Everytime someone touches me I get hurt…except Neku.

Valic looked over at Joshua and frowned a bit, "She won't hurt you, she's just trying to make you feel better. Let her help just this once and she won't touch you again for the rest of the day - I promise." Valic looked to the boy in the bed while he stayed in his seat with piles of homework on his lap, looking to the lady whom seemed worried of touching Joshua due to his strength and what she was told happened in Spanish.

Joshua shook his head no and growled, backing away more till he was practically curled up in a corner of the bed. "No. No one touches me but those I say so." It was obvious the nurse wasn't going to get to treat his clotting wounds anytime soon, the way he was glaring and growling.

She set the items down on a trey for him to treat the wounds on his own, Valic pursed his lips as she walked away from them and leaned back on the chair for a few minutes in though.

{BRB for thirty minutes!}

Joshua glared at the bandages like they were evil and kicked them away as best he could. He never treated his own pains, always his Guardian did it for him. He glared at Valic for a moment then resumed his scared state, refusing to make eye contact.

(Noooo)

Valic saw the glare and fearful cower and gave off a sigh, sitting in his seat and leaning back while scanning him over a moment with the same expression as always. "I'm sorry about Scarlet - she's out there. But you don't need to go and cower like that when I'm here - I'm not going to hurt you or hit you, I don't do that to those who don't deserve it." Valic grabbed the items that were kicked and set them by himself, "Would you please wrap your wounds? You'll get an infection."

Joshua shook his head no firmly. "Nu-uh." He said that as pretty much a response to everything that was said. He didn't believe Valic wouldn't hurt him. "Don't want to. She can watch me get an infection and die and be so proud of herself." His voice ended in a snarl, as he flipped over, showing his back to the other. He didn't want to talk anymore.

(Yay! I went out driving.)

Valic saw the childish reaction and leaned back in his seat, drumming his pencil on the binder for a moment or two before he glanced off and over to the side. "Well I guess you'll let her win then." He turned in his seat to be more comfortable, "By doing that you practically give into her every desire to see you in pain and misery." He was half lying - he just wanted the kid to put the bandages on.

Joshua just covered his ears, answering the questions in his head. Well I always give in anyways…there's no point in really fighting if you're going to lose. He just let his eyes flutter shut and he attempted to doze off, but no luck. He just stayed with his back facing Valic, eyes shut so it at least looked like he was sleeping.

(I almost died, like…5 times.)

Valic stayed in silence while the other 'slept', figuring that the other was asleep while he began to finish off his homework. Pursing his lips and scribbling in cursive over the paper and along the black lines where he needed to place his answers on the double sheet packet.

When the bell rang, Joshua shot up like a cat. He was standing on his own two feet, but had torn open one of the cuts. He glanced outside the doors of the nurse's office and watched people begin to swarm the halls. He quietly sat down on the cot but quickly jumped up again when his hand brushed Valic's leg. It was like he forgot the other was there.

(I HAVE TROUBLE STAYING IN MY LANE)

Valic didn't mind the gentle brush to his leg - accidents happened, but he did look up at the other before noticing the welling blood on his arm. "Hey, you should pat that." He muttered, seeing as the blood could over flow and leak everywhere.

{That's what I'm scared will happen with me. >.< }

"N-no." Joshua crossed his arms and sat down. Suddenly Neku walked in, and he popped up. Neku sat by his side and rubbed his soft blonde hair. "So you attacked two people, and one fought back?" Joshua gave a small nod and glanced down. It was obvious he relied on the other teen a ton. He was like a beam on a bridge--if Neku was taken away Joshua would collapse.

Valic narrowed his eyes a little bit at the two - he didn't like this. He was trying hard to aid the other, to help him in any sort of way but all his effort and kindness was being rejected within an instant. And the personality of this Neku guy didn't seem too attractive to Valic, he personally hated people like that due to his extended family and how they acted. He looked away and continued on his homework - fidgeting out of habit in the seat like an invisible being.

Joshua gazed down at his hands. He rubbed his hands together nervously. "But…I just got really angry…" Neku glanced over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. Not a single flinch or wince appeared on his body or face. "Try to control your anger." Joshua glanced over to Neku and smiled faintly. The words that Valic had said so many times meant nothing, Neku said it once and it was law.

Valic gave off a glare towards the two - this was really pissing him off now, and by that - it was annoying and rather idiotic to him. He gathered up his things and slung his bag over his shoulder and started towards the still crowded halls - a few of the Seniors had seen this and gave dark smirks...

It was Saturday morning, Valic sat up in bed and gently set the stuffed Lamb on the bed, petting the faded grey puffy toy before he walked to the bathroom, getting ready while silence filled the house. He lived on his own basically, his mother rarely coming home and his father was dead already. Once out of the shower and dressed, everything he normally done in the morning was over with - he started towards the door to head off to the store to buy more food and essential items.

Joshua was heading off to the store to go and buy some more mugs for Mr. H. The older man was running low on them, since adults always brought their children and the kids always who broke mugs. He had a fluffy jacket on. With the weather turning colder and winter coming Joshua always bundled up. A scarf was coiled around his neck as he walked stiffly,

Valic shivered on his way to the store, his hands in gloves and heated scarf coiled around his neck, a pair of jeans under sweat pants and a sweater under a jacket. He stepped in the store and grabbed a cart, pushing it light into the building form the parking lot - having driven here.

Joshua began to walk in, picking up a small plastic basket to pick up the mugs with. He blinked at the sight of Valic and quickly averted his eyes, not wanting attention.
